I hit Reset on my life to find my own truth.
Quick Answer
There are many ways to start a Spiritual Journey.
Resetting is just one option—one of the more extreme ones.
Resetting means wiping the slate clean. It’s choosing to pause, question everything you’ve been taught, and consciously rebuild your understanding of self and reality from the ground up.
It’s not the path for everyone.
Descartes Did It First
I love this quote by René Descartes:

“I am like a man who is building a house and needs to demolish it down to the foundations in order to rebuild it more solidly.” (Principles of Philosophy)
Descartes subjected all of his beliefs to radical doubt in order to uncover a foundational truth—something so certain it could serve as the bedrock for rebuilding his entire understanding of reality.
When I reset, I didn’t know anything about him or his philosophy. Which is why, when I came across it, I felt both overwhelmed and relieved. Finally, someone else understood what I was going through.
I wish I could have had a conversation with him. But I’m grateful he left his thoughts behind.
Like Descartes, I reached a point in my life where the only logical path forward was to question everything—to dismantle every belief I had inherited and discover my own truth.

Why?
Because our belief system is our foundation.
It’s how we cope with the world.
It’s the structure we build our reality on.
And for many people, that foundation is religion.
But like most, my religious beliefs weren’t something I chose. They were handed to me by my parents, my community, my culture.
We rarely grow up untouched by outside influence. Most of our beliefs are shaped for us long before we ever had the awareness to question them.
The truth is, our beliefs are a product of where we were raised, who raised us, and the systems we were born into—family, religion, government.
To Reset is to start over.
To let go of what you’ve been told…
And rebuild based on what you’ve come to know.
It’s about finding your own truth.
Justifying your beliefs through conscious study, practice, and discovery.
It’s tearing down the house… so you can finally build one of your own.
You weren’t born with beliefs. You were programmed with them!

To Reset is to reclaim your power and build a foundation rooted in conscious truth — not inherited narratives, not borrowed beliefs, not fear, not programming.
I’ve been through it. And in the next article, I’ll share what that process looked like for me—messy, raw, real.
Until then, ask yourself this:
If you could start from scratch, what would you believe?
You don’t need all the answers yet.
You just need to ask the right questions.
“How Programmed Are You?”
This quiz is a mirror, not a test.
It’s here to help you reflect on the beliefs, habits, and patterns that may have been installed without your conscious permission.
Some of these codes serve you.
Some were inherited.
Some… it may be time to Reset.
Take a moment. Be honest with yourself.
Then decide what you’re ready to rewrite.
