By now, we are all aware that everything in our existence is energy.  Energy has countless forms in which it can be transformed. Every physical item around you is made up of energy. All of these physical forms have unseen energetic properties.

We create and give names to things to better communicate what they are and how they function. It helps us identify what is being talked about in a clear and specific manner.

When it comes to the name of the energy that created our universe, there is still much debate and speculation among scientists and philosophers.  The Big Bang theory explains the origin and evolution of the universe, but its ultimate cause or source of energy remains a topic of ongoing research and discussion within the scientific community. 

The Big Bang theory postulated that all the forms of energy we observe today were concentrated in a small, hot, and high-energy state. This means that before the big bang, everything that we know to exist now was compressed into a single point of infinite density. It was all united. It was all one. This unity, often referred to as the singularity, marks the beginning of our universe as we know it.

This singularity, which sparked the creation of our universe and caused the Big Bang within spirituality, is simply known as the spirit. The spirit is believed to be the energy source of all existence as well as all consciousness.

It is believed or known that since we have been able to obtain consciousness through creation, consciousness had to exist before our creation. This suggests that consciousness is eternal and transcends our individual existence. Spirit is the conscious energy of the universe. Which means that the big bang was not an event that just occurred randomly; there were forces at play that were intentionally guiding and shaping the unfolding of our universe.

The singularity has taken on numerous names throughout human existence. With so many names per belief system and religion within different languages and cultures throughout history, it is easy to be confused about what to call the energy of creation. In spirituality, the energy of creation is the spirit, which is often referred to as the Great Spirit, the Great Creator, Mother/Father God, God, Infinite Creator, etc.

We all have a spirit because we are all connected to the spirit through energy and consciousness, regardless of our beliefs. In other words, we are all connected to the source of creation, regardless of whatever name we choose to give "the source of creation" per our belief system. Everything started as one, and that has never changed. We are all interconnected and united as a collective whole.
