What Is Reset?
Reset simply means to start over.
So the question is more so, what did I reset.
You can reset many aspects of reality.
But I chose to reset my belief system.
What Was Happening In My Life?
For most of my life, I accepted the beliefs I was given.
As I got older, I began questioning life, religion, God, and the afterlife.
The hard truth was that many of my beliefs had been inherited rather than personally investigated.
I’ve always been a rational and analytical thinker, and eventually those questions became impossible to ignore.
I knew I needed to look deeper.
Why I Chose To Reset?
Becoming a father changed something inside me.
Around that same time, I watched a documentary about religions and was struck by the sheer number of belief systems that have existed throughout human history.
A question entered my mind that I couldn’t shake:
If I had been born somewhere else in the world, would I still believe what I currently believed?
The honest answer was probably not.
That realization forced me to confront a difficult truth:
I had inherited many of my beliefs, but I had never personally justified them to myself.
So I made a decision.
I would temporarily set aside everything I thought I knew and begin again from a position of honest inquiry.
That decision became my Reset.
What The Reset Changed?
The Reset changed my relationship with belief.
Before the Reset, many of my beliefs were things I accepted because they had been taught to me.
After the Reset, I felt responsible for understanding and justifying my beliefs for myself.
I stopped assuming I knew the answers and became willing to investigate the questions.
The goal was no longer to defend a position.
The goal was to understand.
That shift changed the way I approached religion, philosophy, psychology, consciousness, and reality itself.
I became committed to studying, questioning, and exploring ideas from multiple perspectives.
More importantly, I became comfortable admitting when I didn’t know something.
The Reset didn’t give me all the answers.
It gave me permission to honestly search for them.
What Came Next?
The Reset did not provide immediate answers.
Instead, it opened the door to years of investigation.
I began studying religion, philosophy, psychology, consciousness, and belief systems.
Many of the ideas, questions, and conclusions found throughout this website trace back to that decision.
The Reset became the foundation for everything that followed.
Looking back, I don’t see the Reset as the moment I found answers.
I see it as the moment I gave myself permission to honestly search for them.
